My support

• The two paintings show the native people welcoming the North American coast, and the artist paints around the themes of displacement, arrival and departure. It gives us viewers a history, and it makes us think about the history of the immigrant population. The two paintings show people with different expressions, each with their own feelings. Some people look sad, some people look helpless. Kent’s painting gives me a sense of its delicacy, as well as the delicacy of the scenery in these two paintings. It paints very well in light and shade and in sunlight.
