• What’s The Met Gala?
• Met Gala, or “New York Metropolitan Museum of Art” , is one of the fashion industry’s biggest fund-raisers, first hosted by PR ELEANOR LAMBERT IN 1948 to encourage The High Class Person donations. Since 1995, Met Gala has been hosted by US Vogue Editor in chief Anna Wintour, who has co hosted with other celebrities, including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Amal Clooney and Rihanna. This year marks the 71st anniversary of the Met Gala and will be co hosted by Lady Gaga, Gucci Creative Directors Alessandro Michele, Harry Styles and Serena Williams. That night, famous faces from the fields of fashion, film, music and art will gather here.
  

• What’s the theme this year?
• Curator Andrew Bolton chose this year’s theme, “Camp: Notes on Fashion, ” from Susan Sontag’s 1964 paper Notes on Camp, “Camp, ” meaning “a fondness for unnatural things, ” which is deliberate and exaggerated, to appreciate the vulgar things in the eyes of the common people from the perspective of subversion.

I chose the Li Yuchun look. At first glance the dress is exquisite and has a touch of boldness and flamboyance. That fits with the theme of the show. And her this dress is embroidered with Phoenix, which is a unique pattern of China. The Queen of China used to decorate her clothes with Phoenix. Red is also a festive color. It all fits because she’s Chinese, too. So I thought it was gorgeous and amazing.
