Drawing is thinking
“to present drawing by traditional means with a conceptual edge, with an emphasis on how the process of making the drawing contributes to its content, a concept which we describe as ‘performative’” (ix). The author acknowledged two contrasting views of drawing – traditional representation and conceptual abstraction – yet remains neutral, only presenting the works as a catalyst for conversation and further study of drawing’s definition. Other writings and exhibitions are referred to as contributing to this conversation. Though art seems to have reached it end, and “can only now reiterate what has gone before,” the author argues against this, saying that drawing is unique (x). This uniqueness further discussed. Drawing as being perceptual and/or conceptual is considered.
The appearance of play; as the image appears, it oscillates between seeing, thinking, remembering and imagining, controlling and being controlled in its formation, constantly moving simultaneously. Although our main concern is not with the picture of the struggle with observation, we must recognize that thought and memory and.The relationship of observation. Painting is the collation of images from a variety of sources (memory, fantasy, etc.) , so any painting that deals with the visible requires the illusion technique of drawing as if in front of the scene. Painting moves between observation and study. Present Tense, reference (past and memory) and projection (future tense and absence) .
Chinese medicine can cure all kinds of problems in people’s body. Each kind of traditional Chinese medicine treats the disease is different. And they’re cooked in a different way. Some for tea, some for soup, and so on. Each Chinese medicine has a different effect, it is China’s earliest pre-treatment method. It’s been around for thousands of years, and it still works. For this post, see the section playing with appearance I read. Its article said that painting can be apart from the traditional manual painting, can use other things to create, to play with paintings and works. So it inspired me to create my work. I used Chinese traditional medicine, and usually blue vegetables to dye paper. I boil the stuff to get the color, and when it’s dark enough or has a higher contrast, I put it in a baking tray, and then I soak the prepared paper in it, and I bake it until it’s dry. So that there are lines and colors on the paper. I drew all the materials I used on the paper and wrote down their functions and names. That’s What I’m trying to say. We can draw with something else. The other was full of paint. I stacked the paint on the paper and used a hair dryer to blow it out with lots of water. So I use the wind to draw.
Through writing and writing, I’ve found that we can use different things to create. We can use wind, water, and so on. Painting can be played, it can be fun.
